Manufacturing of Yana Tyres

With the technical capability developed over the 39 years in Kenya, the Company is now able to produce a comprehensive range of tyres to meet customer’s needs in Africa.

As the only tyre manufacturer in Kenya and the biggest in our region, we have a responsibility to take into account the uniqueness of the tyre usage conditions in East Africa. Our local tyres pride themselves in having benefited from the continuous quality improvement initiatives guided by our quality management systems.

We manufacture tyres according to the best international specifications but develop them further to make them more durable and relevant to our local applications. For example, our tyres typically have reinforced sidewalls to withstand the occasional potholes and have a stronger casing to enhance the durability

Sameer Africa’s product range currently includes: Passenger textile & steel belted radials, 4x4, light truck radials, and bias truck and bus. Agricultural and Off-the-road tyres under the brand name Yana.

Sameer Africa produces both tube type and tubeless tyres and also Produces tubes and flaps

The Yana brand officially launched in 2005 in Nairobi is Sameer Africa’s own brand that aims to be Pan African tyre Brand. This brand is backed by the leading tyre technology and the products are further developed locally to meet the challenging driving African condition.
